Vervaag de juiste gezichten op schoolfoto's, zonder dat er iets je computer verlaat.

Na een schoolevenement wil je foto's delen, maar niet ieder kind mag herkenbaar in beeld. Deze tool zoekt alle gezichten op; jij klikt aan wie vervaagd moet worden. Geen upload, geen account, geen gezichtsherkenning.

Online gebruiken

Open de tool in je browser en begin direct. Je foto's worden niet geüpload: de pagina doet al het werk op je eigen computer.

Installeren als app

  • Chrome of Edge (Windows, macOS, Linux): open de tool en klik op Installeren als app bovenin, of op het installeer-icoon in de adresbalk.
  • Safari op de Mac (macOS 14 of nieuwer): open de tool en kies Archief → Voeg toe aan Dock.

Je krijgt een eigen icoon en venster, en de tool werkt daarna ook zonder internet.

Downloaden en meenemen

Eén ZIP-bestand voor Windows, macOS en Linux. Pak het uit (bijvoorbeeld op een USB-stick) en dubbelklik op gezichten-vervagen.html. Er hoeft niets geïnstalleerd te worden.

Hoe het werkt

Van map vol foto's naar een schone set

Laden

Sleep een map met foto's in de tool (JPG, PNG of WebP).

Zoeken

De tool vindt waar gezichten staan, ook kleine gezichten achteraan op een groepsfoto.

Kiezen

In één overzicht zie je alle gezichten. Klik aan wie vervaagd moet worden; een gemist gezicht teken je er zelf bij.

Exporteren

Je krijgt nieuwe foto's met een onomkeerbaar mozaïek. Je originelen blijven onaangeroerd.

Privacy

Wat de tool wél en níet doet

  • Detectie, geen herkenning. De tool weet wáár gezichten staan, niet wíe het is. Een mens beslist.
  • Je foto's verlaten je computer niet. Een ingebouwd beveiligingsbeleid verbiedt de pagina om gegevens naar welke server dan ook te sturen. Dat geldt ook voor de gedownloade versie.
  • Schone export. Metadata zoals GPS-locatie en cameragegevens worden uit de geëxporteerde foto's verwijderd.
  • Geen account, geen cookies, geen statistieken.
Voor de FG / IT

Zelf controleren

  • Open de ontwikkelaarstools van je browser (F12), tabblad Netwerk, en gebruik de tool: na het openen gaat er niets meer de deur uit. Alleen de geïnstalleerde app haalt updates van zijn eigen programmabestanden op, nooit foto's.
  • Het beveiligingsbeleid (connect-src 'none') staat leesbaar bovenin het HTML-bestand.
  • Browserextensies vallen buiten dat beleid. Voor maximale zekerheid gebruik je een browserprofiel zonder extensies.
  • De tool vervangt geen toestemmingsbeleid: controleer altijd het eindresultaat.

Gebruik een recente browserversie. Een computer met grafische versnelling maakt het zoeken veel sneller. Telefoons en tablets zijn niet getest.

Bekende beperkingen

  • Gezichten die opzij liggen (bijv. een kind op het gras), sterk weggedraaid of half bedekt zijn, worden soms gemist. Teken die er met de hand bij.
  • iPhone-foto's in HEIC-formaat worden nog niet ondersteund. Exporteer ze eerst als JPG.
  • De tool is een hulpmiddel: bekijk elke foto voordat je publiceert.

Wat is er nieuw in v0.1.0

  • Eerste publieke testversie: online gebruiken, installeren als app, of downloaden en meenemen.
  • Ingebouwd beveiligingsbeleid: de pagina kan geen gegevens naar een server sturen, ook niet de gedownloade versie.
  • Grote exports in Firefox en Safari worden in ZIP-delen van max. 400 MB verdeeld.
  • Kaders verwijderen werkt nu ook met touch en met de Delete-toets.
  • Melding wanneer je browser niet "Opslaan in map" ondersteunt of geen grafische versnelling heeft.

  • Chrome or Edge (Windows, macOS, Linux): open the tool and click Install as app at the top, or the install icon in the address bar.
  • Safari on the Mac (macOS 14 or later): open the tool and choose File → Add to Dock.

You get your own icon and window, and the tool then also works without internet.

How it works

From a folder of photos to a clean set

Load

Drop a folder of photos into the tool (JPG, PNG or WebP).

Find

The tool finds where faces are, including small faces at the back of a group photo.

Choose

One overview shows every face. Click the ones to blur; draw in any face that was missed.

Export

You get new photos with an irreversible mosaic. Your originals stay untouched.

Privacy

What the tool does and doesn't do

  • Detection, not recognition. The tool knows where faces are, not who they are. A person decides.
  • Your photos never leave your computer. A built-in security policy forbids the page to send data to any server at all. That includes the downloaded copy.
  • Clean export. Metadata such as GPS location and camera details is removed from exported photos.
  • No account, no cookies, no analytics.
For your DPO / IT

Check it yourself

  • Open your browser's developer tools (F12), tab Network, and use the tool: after it has opened, nothing goes out. Only the installed app fetches updates of its own program files, never photos.
  • The security policy (connect-src 'none') is readable at the top of the HTML file.
  • Browser extensions fall outside that policy. For maximum certainty, use a browser profile without extensions.
  • The tool doesn't replace a consent policy: always check the result.

Use a recent browser version. A computer with graphics acceleration makes finding faces much faster. Phones and tablets have not been tested.

Known limitations

  • Faces lying sideways (e.g. a child on the grass), turned far away or half covered are sometimes missed. Draw those in by hand.
  • iPhone photos in HEIC format are not supported yet. Export them as JPG first.
  • The tool is an aid: look at every photo before you publish.

What's new in v0.1.0

  • First public test version: use it online, install it as an app, or download and take it with you.
